All new job posts, edits to existing job posts, or reopened jobs will show as pending. Pending means that the job post is waiting to be fetched and accepted by our job board partners. Our job board partners fetch jobs from Betterteam every 4 to 6 hours on average and usually accept the jobs automatically. The job then gets added to their search results, and sometimes, emailed to candidates directly.
Once the job has been fetched and accepted it will switch from pending to active status and candidates should start arriving within 24 hours.
It has been longer than 6 hours. Why is my job still pending?
Company approval. If you are a brand new Betterteam client, or a company the job board has not seen before, there is an additional company approval process that can take longer than 6 hours. This is usually only done for your first job post. It can also happen if you change your company name. Our team will contact you if we run into any issues or if our job board partners require more information.
Policy violation. Our job board partners all have different rules and policies regarding the jobs they will accept. If they do not accept the job automatically our team will try to fix minor issues. More complex issues we will contact you to solve.
Formatting issues. Formatting issues with the job title or job description. Our team will attempt to fix these if they are minor or contact you if more extensive changes are needed.
Salary required. Missing salary/pay values in locations where salary is mandated by law.
Weekends. Jobs posted over the weekend will often take longer to go active. Our job board partners have limited approval staff rostered on during this time so jobs that require manual approval will take longer to go active.
Job board queries. Our job board partners will sometimes ask for changes to be made to a job or ask for more information on your company. We will reach out to you when this happens.
Previously my job posts showed as active immediately. What has changed?
Our job board partners have always taken 4 to 6 hours to fetch jobs from Betterteam. We now show the more accurate pending status so you can see when a job is still waiting to go live on our network of job boards.
