When you post a job on Betterteam, it's already shared automatically across a network of job boards — including ZipRecruiter — at no extra cost. Promoting a job is an optional way to get even more from that reach: you sponsor the listing so it stands out and reaches more qualified candidates, faster.
How is promoting different from posting?
Posting your job on Betterteam already distributes it to many job boards automatically and for free — that doesn't change. Promoting adds a paid boost on a specific partner: it sponsors your listing so it rises toward the top of relevant candidate searches, where more candidates will see it. In short, posting gets your job out there; promoting helps a particular job stand out.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the job board. Each promotion partner sets its own pricing, which you'll see and confirm in that partner's window before any charge — so you're always in control of what you spend. Standard posting on Betterteam stays free; promotion is an optional add-on.
How to promote a job
1. Go to Jobs and open the job you'd like to promote.
2. On the job's page, click Promote Job. (On mobile, you'll find it in the ••• actions menu.)
3. In the Promote this job window, choose a partner job board and follow the instructions that appear.
Don't see the Promote option?
Make sure the job is approved.
Some jobs aren't eligible for promotion. For example, ZipRecruiter only accepts job posts in certain countries — such as the United States, Canada, and Australia — so a job based elsewhere can't be promoted there.
We're rolling promotion out gradually, so it may not be available on your account just yet — check back soon.
If your job is approved and you still don't see the Promote job option, reach out to us at hello@betterteam.com and we'll help.
Which platforms can I promote to?
