Betterteam talks to our clients (employers) by email and by phone. We never contact candidates directly.
Betterteam Emails:
Real emails from Betterteam always come from a betterteam.com address. We do not use any other domain to send email. You will most often see hello@betterteam.com.
Not sure if an email is real? Forward it to hello@betterteam.com and we will check it for you.
Betterteam Phone Calls:
Betterteam does call employers to verify new signups and to discuss job post and account matters. We will never ask for your payment details, your password or any code we email you. Caller ID can be faked, so a call that looks like it comes from us may not be real: if you are not sure, hang up and email hello@betterteam.com, and we will check it for you.
Important Information for Candidates:
Betterteam is an applicant tracking system. We help our clients (employers) post their jobs to many job boards, like Indeed, LinkedIn and ZipRecruiter. Our clients then contact the candidates who apply, to talk about the job.
Betterteam never contacts candidates directly. We never use email, text message or phone. Did someone contact you and say they work for Betterteam? Forward the details to hello@betterteam.com. Then block the sender. It is a scam.
As a candidate, you will get emails and calls from clients of Betterteam. But only for jobs you actually applied to. You may not have applied on Betterteam directly. You may have applied on a job board partner like Indeed, LinkedIn or ZipRecruiter.
Current Scams to Be Aware Of:
Job scammers often target applicant tracking systems like Betterteam. Betterteam never texts candidates by SMS or WhatsApp. We also never email candidates directly. If you are a candidate and get any message from Betterteam about a job offer, it is a scam. Block the sender and do not reply.
Previous Scams:
In 2024, a text message scam contacted candidates about job openings with Betterteam or Betterteam clients.
In February 2025, we got similar reports of emails and texts pretending to be Betterteam. Betterteam never contacts candidates directly, and never by text or WhatsApp.
How to Report Scams:
Forward the details to hello@betterteam.com. Include screenshots, phone numbers and email addresses. Also block any suspicious numbers, mark the emails as spam and block the senders.
