Betterteam uses an automated security system (powered by Cloudflare) to protect our customers and their data. Occasionally it stops a real person by mistake, or shows a quick check before letting you through. This article explains each page you might see, why you saw it, and what to do next.
Every page displays the details we need to help you — usually your IP address and a Ray ID. Including them in your email lets us fix the problem on the first reply, without any back-and-forth.

What are the IP address and Ray ID?
1. Our security blocked this request
What it looks like:
Why you saw it
Betterteam's security system flagged something about the connection you're on — for example, a network, VPN, or location that's been associated with suspicious activity — and blocked the request before it reached us. If you're a real person trying to use Betterteam, this is a mistake we can fix quickly.
What to do
Click the Email security@betterteam.com button on the page. It pre-fills an email with your IP address and Ray ID — the exact details we need to unblock you.
If you'd rather write the email yourself, send your IP address and Ray ID (shown on the page) to security@betterteam.com.
If you're on a VPN or corporate network, trying without it may also resolve the issue.
2. Too many requests
What it looks like:
Why you saw it
Requests from your connection arrived faster than our security allows, so we temporarily limited them. This can happen on busy shared networks, or if a browser extension or tool is making rapid requests in the background.
What to do
Wait a moment and try again — the limit is temporary and lifts on its own.
If you keep seeing this page, email your IP address and Ray ID to security@betterteam.com using the button on the page, and we'll help.
3. Confirm you're human
What it looks like:
Why you saw it
Our security needs to confirm you're a real person before continuing — usually because of the network or location you're connecting from. The check typically clears in a few seconds.
What to do
Complete the check on the page. In most cases no action is needed — it clears on its own.
If the check keeps failing, use the Email security@betterteam.com button under "Still can't get through?" — it includes the IP address and Ray ID we need to help you regain access.
4. Checking your connection
What it looks like:
Why you saw it
Our security is verifying your browser before letting the request through. This happens automatically — there's nothing to click or solve — and usually takes a few seconds.
What to do
Wait for the check to finish; you'll be sent through automatically.
If you stay stuck on this page, make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser, then email the IP address and Ray ID shown on the page to security@betterteam.com.
5. Something went wrong on our end
What it looks like:
Why you saw it
Betterteam hit a temporary problem handling your request. This one's on us, not you — nothing is wrong with your account or connection.
What to do
Wait a moment and try again. These issues usually resolve quickly.
If it keeps happening, click the Email hello@betterteam.com button on the page (or write to hello@betterteam.com) and include the Ray ID shown on the page so our support team can look into it.
6. What are the IP address and Ray ID?
Each page shows a small box with diagnostic details:
Your IP address identifies the connection you're using. Security blocks are usually tied to an IP address, so it's the key detail we need to unblock you.
Ray ID is a unique reference for the exact request that was blocked or failed. It lets us find the event in our logs immediately.
If your IP address isn't shown on the page, you can find it at radar.cloudflare.com/ip.
